Judges' Comments

"Michelle, let's talk through your dish a little bit."

Michelle: "I braised the rabbit down."

Judge: "The rabbit. You dried it out."

Michelle: "The intent was to get that flavorful jus into the polenta. The polenta cake was supposed to be a little bit firmer than what it was."

Judge: "I liked that you used the corn, but with the softness of the polenta cake, it did rather quickly fall apart."

"You said that you had smoked the dish. I was really looking for that flavor, and it just kind of got lost."
