Dylan: "My dough's flavoured with gochugang, which is a korean fermented chilli paste. It's a very pungent chili paste. That gives the dough a really nice orange color as well."
Voice-over: "As well as his fermented chili paste, Dylan will run confit of garlic throughout the dough of his buns, which, although simple, he is hoping will prove he has what it takes to forge a career in the kitchen."
Prue Leith: "I think they look really interesting. I love the color."
Paul Hollywood: "I really like the color, and I really like the shape. It's a really nice look to them. Okay, let's have a look. Still never tried this flavoring you put in. Gochujang. It's mostly chili. Is it?"
Dylan; "Yeah. So it's like a fermented chili paste."
Paul Hollywood: "It's amazing. The spice levels in that are delicious. And I love the garlic because it's not particularly strong, but it's there. What impressed me more than anything else is that the crust that you managed to achieve on such an enriched dough, and the color and the flavor is so much in your face. Never had anything like it. Yeah. That's why you got the handshake. You could probably sell a lot of them. They're lovely. I really like them, and I haven't been surprised by a flavor for a long time. Well done, Dylan."
