Cara: "French tian with zucchini, braised leeks, and fennel in a white wine sauce. Pickled radishes. And the ceramic is hot, so don't grab it." 


Cara (context): "I am using France. I'm making a tian. It's like a baked rice dish with a very traditional French preparation of braised fennel and leeks. I lived in France. I have a strong preference towards Asian cuisine, but fundamentally trained in classic French cuisine because that's where my formative years were."

"I think the rice got kind of lost and mushy for me." 


Kwame: "I think the star of the show was the fennel and the leeks. But, you know, unfortunately, it's not a fennel and leek challenge." 


Padma: "I kind of love Cara's dish. It tasted like casseroles that I've had when I lived in Paris."
