Sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce, caramelised poached pear and vanilla cream.
Simi poached her pear with sugar, vanilla and star anise. It was her birthday on the day of filming.
Simi: "Going to portion sugar and vanilla and star anise to see what happens." Anna: "The vanilla cream needs to be excellently whipped, and if they put too much sugar in that, it will spoil the whole dish."
Anna: "Simi, your pudding is spot on, dark and sugary and dense. I really enjoy your pear has taken on the star anise as you wanted to."
Grace: "Your toffee sauce is beautifully buttery and creamy and luscious. But your cream is very sweet. I'm not getting strong vanilla flavour from it and it's not whipped enough." Simi was eliminated.
