Ayesha

Anglesey born, Aisha trained at restaurants in both England and Wales before opening her Michelan recommended gastropub in 2017.


Ayesha: "If you had asked me when I was a teenager, I didn't see this as my future at all. I thought I was going to be a war correspondent. I am the chef patron at Queen of Cups in Glastonbury. I describe it as modern Middle Eastern using classic French techniques. One of my greatest influences has undoubtedly been my grandmother on my Jordanian side. And so even now, when you come to my restaurant, there are dishes that are still inspired by her. Wales is where I grew up. It's what shaped me. It's what made me who I am. So be asked to represent Wales is a huge honor."
