The bakers were asked to make 12 decorated mince pies with any filling of their choice as long as it was festive. They were given 2 hours for this exercise.
Paul Hollywood: "It's all about the depth of flavor in the fruity filling, and the balance with a lovely buttery pastry.
Prue Leith "Yes, the pastry should melt in the mouth".
Paul Hollywood: "Also, we expect these pies to be highly decorated."
