Dukkah

An Egyptian spice and nut blend traditionally made with sesame seeds, coriander seeds, cumin, nuts (usually almonds or hazelnuts), and salt. The ingredients are dry-roasted separately then coarsely ground together. Dukkah means "to pound" in Arabic, referring to the preparation method. It's typically served with bread and olive oil as a dip, or used as a seasoning for vegetables, salads, and proteins. The texture should remain coarse and crunchy rather than powdered.
