In England, scones are famous especially in the side-by-side counties of Devon and Cornwall. HOWEVER, there is one important difference - there is a long-running, light-hearted dispute about which goes first, the cream or the jam? The people of Devon traditionally put the cream onto their scones first, while the people of Cornwall put the jam before the cream.
