Noel Fielding: "The judges would like you to make 12 Jaffa Cakes. They need to be composed of a sponge base, have a flavored jelly, and be coated with chocolate. They can be any shape but they must be identical to each other."

Paul Hollywood: "The jaffa cake is sponge, jelly and chocolate on the top. Simple, but we want it to look a little bit special and taste unique, too. "

Prue Leith: "I'd say half of the finished item should be sponge cake, quarter jelly and quarter chocolate."

Paul Hollywood: "The whole idea is to set everything and get the timings right because the sponge needs to be cold, the jelly needs to be set and the chocolate needs to be perfectly warmed for pouring."
