Bakewell-Inspired Financiers
Josh created Bakewell-inspired financiers with ground almonds, almond extract, custard-flavored Italian buttercream, fresh raspberries, and flaked almonds.
Prue Leith noted he added 'just a fraction' too much almond essence, saying it should be 'a hint' but was 'quite overwhelming.' However, she said it 'still tastes delicious' with 'that thing that I love, which is the slight chewiness and nice and moist and soft in the middle.' Paul Hollywood agreed the flavor was delicious but couldn't complain about it.
