Sticky Toffee Pudding (Anisha)
Sticky toffee pudding with a toffee sauce, a caramelised poached pear and vanilla cream, cooked from a recipe with no timings.
Anisha: "I've never poached a pear. I've steamed a dumpling before and made it crunchy at the bottom. So I'm kind of thinking it's the same. Not necessarily."
Anisha: "I'm trying to think about the science behind it and hope for the best."
Grace: "I think your pudding is nicely cooked. It's got a lovely crumb in it. Your whipped cream, the balance of sugar in that is perfect. And I like that you used the fresh vanilla pod inside the cream as well."
Anna: "It's a lovely, sticky brown moreish toffee sauce. But your pear is very mushy." Anisha won an apron.
