Alex Horne
Alex Horne (full name Alexander James Jeffery Horne) is an English comedian, writer, and musician, born on 10 September 1978 in Chichester, West Sussex.
He studied Classics at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, where he joined the Footlights, the university's famous comedy troupe. He made his Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut in 2000 and was later nominated for the Perrier Award for best new comic.
He is best known as the creator of the BAFTA award-winning comedy panel show Taskmaster. In it, he acts as assistant and umpire to "Taskmaster" Greg Davies, who judges comedians attempting a series of absurd tasks. Horne first devised the format for the Edinburgh Fringe in 2010 before it was adapted for television in 2015. He is often introduced on the show as "Little Alex Horne."
He also fronts the comedy band The Horne Section, which has had its own radio and TV output. Horne married Rachel Horne in 2005, and they have three children.
