Since 2016, two-holiday specials have been transmitted between each series. The special typically features a handful of returning bakers from earlier series to compete in three holiday-themed challenges. One special is broadcast on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day and the other on New Year's Day on UK's Channel 4.
