Jesy didn't let her lack of culinary expertise get in the way of tackling a classic  in the world of pot pies - chicken, mushroom and bacon. She further tried to woo the judges with a love heart decoration. 

Tom's version of his East End of London tradition of always eating "pie and mash" before going to a football match saw mashed potato encased inside a pie and served with a customary parsley liquor. 

Rose's pies were filled with ground beef, sharp cheddar cheese and yeast extract, and were topped with a patriotic pastry fern leaf. The pies were served with tomato sauce.

David was the only baker spicing up his hot water crust pastry with tumeric and curry powder. His filling was tofu, mushroom and vegetables, in honor of his daughter who lives on a plant based diet. He topped the pies with mini pastry mushrooms and the filling was seasoned with soy sauce and golden raisins. Our recipe is here.
