Squeak No Evil

A black sesame pie shell filled with black sesame and chocolate custard, topped with a family of tiny mochi mice sitting inside nests made of sone papdi, a popular Indian sugar floss sweet.
Meeki: "So the name of my bake is Squeak No Evil."
Meeki: "There are going to be little mochi mice on top of this custard tart as my decorative pattern. As a lab researcher, I work with mice, so it's quite important."
Prue: "Squeaky Meeki. That might stick."
Meeki: "I will add the black sesame to taste. I just know that's a polarizing flavor. So even though I love how it tastes, I'm kind of holding back a little bit."
Meeki: "I'm making this custard, but actually, I'm gonna stop."
Meeki: "Liquid horrible. But rapidly setting custard is what I want. Now I'm making the mochi in the back."
Meeki: "I'm making my sone papdi, which is an Indian dessert. So it's made with sugar that gets heated to a stringy consistency. You just keep pulling it and twisting it and pulling it, and it turns into, like, a thousand little strands of sugar. Those strands are going to get turned into little teeny nests that the mice will sit on."
Meeki (panicking): "You've got to be kidding me right now. The tart is too hot. My nest has melted. I'm dying." No Hollywood Handshake was awarded for this dish.
